Fashion Parade Kincumber

 

Our sincere thanks to all those who worked to put the day together and all those great supporters who purchased tickets and came along.

 

You may have noticed in the video our beautiful cups, saucers and plates, as well as our lovely models. Thank you to those people who donated their precious bone china to add to our collection. We are still collecting piece by piece which will be used for our very special events.

Variety Benefit Show 2019

 

In March Crestani Scholarships held the Variety Benefit Show featuring,  Kel-Anne Brandt, Chris King, the Variety Show Dancers and Al Showman who put on fantastic performances.

 

Thanks go to our performers; our volunteers who helped make it all happen; and of course, all those people who attended the show.

 

As always, money raised goes to help fund further education to advance skills and techniques in cancer treatment at the Central Coast Cancer Centre with the aim of achieving “Better outcomes for cancer patients”.

 

Febuary 2019

Music at Greenway 2019

 

This year's Music at Greenway production featured performers from the Central Coast Opera's productions of Carmen and La Boheme who donated their talent. Money raised went to Crestani Scholarships to help fund further education to advance skills and techniques in cancer treatment at the Central Coast Cancer Centre with the aim of achieving “Better outcomes for cancer patients”. Thanks also goes to Creightons for the use of the Greenway Chapel.

Citizen of the Year 2019

 

Yvonne Crestani, has been named Central Coast Council Citizen of the Year 2019 for her dedication to improving the life of cancer patients and their families, and providing educational opportunities for medical personnel on the Coast.

 

Central Coast Council Mayor Jane Smith said Yvonne’s commitment to improving the life of cancer patients, and the welfare of their family members, for over a decade made her a worthy Central Coast Citizen of the Year.

 

“Australia Day is a celebration of our diversity, our values, our national achievements and our hopes for the future,” Mayor Smith said.

 

“On this special day we honour Yvonne and all our local unsung heroes who strive to better our community and make the Central Coast a great place to live.”

Twilight Soiree 2018

 

What could be said about the social event of the year? The Twilight Soiree held at the Gosford Regional Gallery and Japanese Garden on Sunday 18th November raising funds for higher education of professionals treating Cancer Patients.

Hosted by Gosford Town Crier, 190 guests were treated to wonderful music from “After Five”, Central Coast Opera singers Livia Brash, Alex Sefton, and Australia’s own Lucky Starr. Thank you to everyone for making the evening so memorable.

Crestani Awards Night 2018

 

The Annual Crestani Awards Evening was held on Friday 16th November 2018, where seven professionals received scholarship awards from the Crestani Scholarships Program. This year the program was extended to include graduates from the University of Newcastle and the Australian College of Nursing. One young recipient will be funded to study new techniques in treating Liver Cancer.

Crestani Scholarship for Research

 

Crestani Scholarships and Central Coast Cancer Centre (CCCC) are offering two $2,000 scholarships for 3rd year Radiation Therapy students to undertake a summer research program over the upcoming 2018/19 summer break. The successful students will spend time at the CCCC between November 2018 and February 2019 conducting their research guided by Dr. Yolanda Surjan and support and mentoring from the University of Newcastle and CCCC staff.

Crestani Scholarships & For Benefit Medicines

 

Crestani Scholarships is now affiliated with For Benefit Medicines. For Benefits Medicines is a social-enterprise pharmaceutical company operating in Australia and gives all its profits to support clinical trials research for the treatment, prevention and cure of breast cancer.

 

Both the Crestani Scholarships in Radiotherapy and the For Benefits Medicines are dedicated to provide “better outcomes for cancer patients”.

 

Being affiliated with the For Benefits Medicines, gives Crestani Scholarships a more efficient way to manage the aspects of being a registered charity through better administration, as well as encouraging more donations as a tax-deductible charity. The affiliation with the For Benefits Medicines enables Crestani Scholarships in Radiotherapy to meet an important eligibility criterion for government grant programs.

Crestani Scholarship for Cancer Nursing

 

Crestani Scholarships announces a $2,000 scholarship for a registered nurse to undertake further study in specialised cancer nursing. The successful student will be awarded enrolment into one subject of their choice under one of the two following ACN Cancer courses:

  • Graduate Certificate in Cancer Nursing
  • Graduate Certificate in Breast Cancer Nursing
